i was originally planning to post about going rollerblading with my bro and his gf yesterday (which wasn't as awkward as it might sound) and how i'm going to miss living close to the beach SO MUCH.
but i have to blog about what happened with my ftt - which stands for final theory test for all you driving virgins.
ok i admit it was my mistake to bring my cash, ic and ezlink with me to the beach and then forget to put it back into my wallet. when i realised this after work today, i rushed to call the driving centre but got some shit automated message instead. what's the use of a hotline if it's not even open at 5.30 in the evening?
i decided to just try my luck with my driving centre card but surprise surprise they didn't accept it. after arguing with the 'tester' guy, he gave me this slip stating that i didn't bring my ic for my current ftt slot and was to be given a slot for next week. i had to take it as a private candidate and pay an extra 6 bucks. since i was there, i decided to ask about getting a early practical test date and was told that they were booked out till september. when i replied that i'd probably be gone by then, he simply said "you passed your basic right? 2 years come back then take your license la."
wow that was really helpful.
so after queuing at the private candidate counter, the ass (the one that served us when we enrolled - britney you know which one i'm talking about) asked for my ic. like hello i'm here because i don't have it. with a smug smile, it informed me that the 'tester' was wrong and that i had to apply as a school candidate. "so take a number and queue again."
after another long wait, i finally got to the counter. the girl smiled apologetically and said, "you can only apply when the test time is over, so please wait and then queue again."
now that's just bloody perfect.
